Travel & Stay
Welcome to Sicily!

We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding with you and share a part of this island that we love.
As this is a destination wedding, we’re making the most of our time together with three days of celebrations at Borgo del Carato.
We hope you’ll be able to join us for the full experience and turn the wedding into a little Sicilian getaway.
We’ve put together some helpful information below to make planning your trip as easy as possible.
The VenueÂ
Our wedding will take place at Borgo del Carato, a beautiful countryside farmhouse in Sicily where we’ll be spending the wedding celebrations together.

We’re delighted to have the opportunity to have our guests stay on site, meaning we can all relax, celebrate and enjoy the weekend together without worrying about travelling between the venue and accommodation
Accommodation
We’d love for you to stay with us on-site so we can enjoy the entire wedding weekend together!
We have pre-arranged accommodation for all of our guests.
Please note that details and instructions for your room payment can be found directly on your personal guest wedding page. If you prefer to make your own arrangements and stay off-site instead, please get in touch with us to let us know.
Travel
The nearest airport is Catania Airport, though this may vary depending on your preferred flight options, so please check the most convenient route from your departure city. We recommend booking your flights as early as possible, particularly as we will be celebrating during the popular summer season. Once you have booked your flights, please let us know your arrival and departure details so we can help coordinate transport where possible.
Explore
If you plan to explore Sicily prior to or after the wedding, here are some of our recommendations! The best way to explore would be to drive for ease of travel.
Pallazzolo Acreide
Approximately 15–20 minutes away.
Our nearest town, perfect for a relaxed lunch, coffee or an evening stroll.
Noto
Approximately 40-45 minutes away.
Famous for its stunning Baroque architecture, beautiful streets and excellent gelato and aperitivo spots.
Ortigia, Syracuse
Approximately 50-60 minutes away,
Explore the historic island, wander the little streets, visit Piazza Duomo and enjoy lunch or drinks by the sea
Modica
Approximately 60 minutes away,
A beautiful Baroque town, famous for its architecture and traditional chocolate
Mount Etna
Approximately 1.5-2 hours away,
A little further afield, but well worth the journey if you have a full day to spare.Â
Taormina
Approximately 1.5-2 hours away,
You can wander its gorgeous historic streets, explore the ancient Greek Theatre, and soak in views of Mount Etna.
Most importantly, make a mandatory pit stop at Bam Bar for hands-down the best granita in Sicily. (Consider yourself warned: Dan will be happily occupying a table here for three straight days leading up to the wedding!)
